My client is a global financial institution located in the heart of Brussels.

In order to keep up with today’s evolutions in investments & finance, one of the cornerstone applications (instrument referential) requires new evolutions.
An experienced business analyst with analytical skills is required to work within the Data Referentials team in Brussels. This person will be assigned the support and evolutive maintenance of the tools.
This person will take full ownership of the application, work autonomously & participate in day-to-day operations. Pro-actively help to raise issues & suggest improvements is a must.
- Organisation of support
- Propose improvements
- Unit testing of delivered components
- Participation in code review with developers.
- Structured code development, versioning and promotion to environments.
- Enhancements and bug fixes.
- Provision of support to testing teams during testing cycles.
- Participation in technical forums for knowledge gain and sharing.
- Effective reporting to project manager
- Ensure compliance with local development standards & methodologies

Degree in computer sciences;
Database (overview knowledge)
- Oracle 10g, Oracle P/L SQL Developer
- MS SQL 2005, MS SQL Query Analyser - (nice to have)
- Stored procedures & competent construction of SQL queries
- Any data modelling tools or techniques would be of advantage
Business analysis
- Business analysis techniques
- Project Management skills
Experience in banking/asset management environments
Knowledge of financial markets & instruments
Knowledge of benchmark provider and construction mechanism is a plus
Technical design and specification experience - (Nice to have)
Monitoring (HPOpenview) and scheduling tools ($Universe) – (Nice to have)
Process recovery concepts -
Fluent in spoken and written English. French.
