My client is a global financial institution located in the heart of Brussels and easily reachable by public transport.

The functional/business analyst will work in the IS Investment Operations (Data hub and Data warehouse). His/her tasks will cover the following area:
1. Analysis of proposed enhancements.
As a business analyst the following tasks will be part of his/her daily work:
- Provide the analyses of the functional specifications based on these business requirements.
- Support the business in preparing and executing the user acceptance tests
- Support the technical development and test teams in translating the functional specifications into technical design and test scenarios.
- Execute tests plans.
2. Make proposals of enhancements
It is expected from the analysts that his knowledge of the business model and of the application enables him to make proposal of enhancements of the current processes.
Those proposition are small business cases that describe the proposed change and its impacts.
3. Support on the implemented solutions.
4. Help to establish CMMI level 2 certification
Data warehouse/Data hub business analyst in the IT Department of an asset management bank. Under the supervision of a BU/project manager and with the help of business analyst team leader assure the IT analysis on dwh architecture, dwh flows and human interfaces.
- Describe and analyse the requirements send by business
- Help the team to establish the CMMI 2 certification
- Help the functional/technical team to install a proper governance (KPI, ...)
- Perform end-user support for information and incidents related to business applications
- Follow up constantly the status of the incidents
- Produce documentation on how to set up, control the good functioning and debug the business applications
- Identify and recommend improvements to current system
- Analyse day-to-day incidents that could underline a specific or more generic problem
- Perform problem management by identifying root causes of recurring incidents
- Analyse the incident base and report the findings

Candidate has an university degree in economics or bachelor degree in economics, both a post degree of informatics
if University degree :
Proven track record of at least 5 years experience in a functional position in the IT department of an Asset Management or Private/Investment Banking.
if Bachelor :
Proven track record of at least 7 years experience in a functional position in the IT department of an Asset Management or Private/Investment Banking.
- Sustained knowledge of SQL requests
- Familiar with Data warehouse/ Data Hub architectural principals
- Database design (Reporting/transactional).
- Knowledge about EAI
- Knowledge of Decalog, LatentZero (Minerva, Sentinel, Tesseract) or thinkFolio are key advantage.
- Good documentation & formalisation skills.
- Reporting tools (BO, WebFocus, ...)
- Microsoft products (MS Office, ...)
- Fluent in spoken and written French and English. (Dutch is an asset)
- Knowledge about CMMI 2
- Managerial Experience:
- Although no team needs to be managed, the implementation and change of processes will often involve co-ordination with a lot of different parties.
- Asset management or investment banking
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments (incl. derivatives)
- Knowledge of financial instrument trading lifecycle
