Job description

As an IT Support engineer 1st Line, you are part of the worldwide support team and you are the contact for all employees. You help these employees with their questions, requests and reports of faults. You will work from the head office in Zwijndrecht and can rely on the support of your immediate colleagues. 

 

  • You act as first and second line support (general support and helpdesk).
  • Make a diagnosis, offer a solution or escalate the problem to 3rd line line support or external partners.
  • You are responsible for an active follow-up of calls, incidents and tasks.
  • Register and test your hardware and software.
  • Record everything accurately in our follow-up system.
  • Make adjustments to the internal telephone system.
It is expected that within a timeframe of more or less 2 years, if you perform well,  you will join the system engineering team, Cloud specialist team or Project management team.Profile
  • You have a Bachelor degree with an IT-related specialization, or equal by experience
  • You have active knowledge of software (Microsoft Windows 10, Office 365) and hardware (PCs, printers and other peripherals).
  • You have knowledge or experience with Software Deployment, Networking, Active Directory, Windows Server or Citrix is a plus.
  • You have good communicative skills and express yourself fluently spoken and written in English.

You learn quickly, work proactively and will not shy away from challenges.

You can deal with work pressure and are flexible.

You're customer-oriented and able to explain a technical solution in understandable language to our end users.

Our client is an international company located in Zwijndrecht. The company employs 5000 people across the globe.

 

The IT department in Zwijndrecht employs roughly 50 people. The IT department has a very good atmosphere amongst colleagues. They often have group activities.
