Job descriptionYou have 5 to 10 years work experience as a support engineer (sys admin, network) or as a DBA? You are successful but want some change in your career while staying in IT? You want to grow and do more? Then this role is  for you.

As a Support Application Engineer you will?provide administration, application configuration, maintenance, and technical support to our customers on ServiceNow. You will apply best practices to configure robust solutions on the ServiceNow platform. 


 
Tasks and responsibilities
After the initial ServiceNow platform admin training and certification (4 weeks) you will be in charge of supporting and customizing enterprise applications.
You will work directly with our customers (process owners, key business users, business analysts).
You will need to have a full understanding of the business flow and the requirements before starting to configure the platform. 
We expect you to challenge what is asked and take ownership of the request.
Depending on your profile and background you will integrate ServiceNow with AD for single sign on, with a Nagios/Check_Mk for event handling, Terraform, VMware or Azure for provisioning … 
After a successful first year playing and mastering the NOW Platform, you will have more responsibility like becoming subject matter expert, managing customers’ projects or guide newly hired colleagues.
Make ServiceNow part of your DNA and act as a true ServiceNow Ambassador.ProfileSuccessful initial career in IT with at least 5 years’ experience.
Good communication skills in English and Dutch ( French is an asset ).
Understanding and practicing ITIL.
Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience with a scripting language(s) (PowerShell, python, shell scripting,… ).
Architecture: Service oriented architecture (WCF, Web Services), Understand Rest API.
You have a passion for IT and new technologies
You understand the enterprise IT landscape.
You have in depth knowledge in one or more of these domains infrastructure on premise or cloud / network / security / Virtualization/ SIEM / middleware / Application / SaaS / identity management.
You want to learn and evolve in ServiceNow
You have an eye for performance and scalability.
You have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
You are accurate and have a great sense of details.
You can work independently and in team.
You actively listen to the client’s needs & feedback and take into account your customer’s remarks regarding the proposed solution.
You are ready to work hard to deliver a solution.
