The data scientist’s main goal is to organize and analyze large amounts of data. The data scientist’s responsibilities involve but are not limited to discovering and sharing insights from massive amounts of structured or unstructured data to help the Product Owner and the development team shape or meet specific business needs.

Your responsibilities

– You leverage the SCRUM methodology to ensure algorithm delivery with POC, sprints, etc

– You start building and developing the algorithms with software development team

– You perform data aggregations, manipulations, and cleaning to ensure data integrity throughout the entire analytical process

– You apply descriptive and predictive modeling techniques to data to generate predictions and uncover patterns

– You have excellent quantitative modeling, statistical analysis and problem-solving skills

– You have a strong theoretical and practical mathematics and/or statistics background (optimization, regression models, machine-learning algorithms, neural networks)

– Ability to develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations

– You have experience in data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI)

– You have experience building business intelligence reporting from disparate data sources

– You have experience working with collaboration software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Git)

– You demonstrate expertise in highly scalable distributed systems architecture, using open source tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)

– You have experience with data analysis programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
