Data Scientist & Machine Learning Engineer

Job description

The Role

You'll work closely with business experts to identify improvement projects based on business needs and your background in data science and machine learning.

 

In this role, you will be based in Belgium but will interact in an international network and collaborate with other data scientists and process expert teams in customer centers/product companies.

 

You will be part of the Business Process team in the Manufacturing Department but working closely together with IT and all other departments.

You will design, implement, deploy, and maintain Machine Learning solutions and in this role you’ll have the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding problems, including:

 

Scaling Machine Learning models globally to factories on all continents

 

Creating a structured machine learning environment on local GPU workstations or in Azure Cloud.

 

 

Profile

Profile & Experience

You have a master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a similar field.

You have mastered the SciPy stack (Python, pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).

You know your way around source control and reproducibility tooling (GIT, Conda, pip, docker).

You have experience with Deep Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and parallel computing libraries (Dask, Numba). 

Solid experience with Python/Java and SQL and related frameworks and components is a must.

You are confident in your Software Engineering skills.

You have experience in Deep Learning for Computer Vision.?

Excellent analytical skills to analyze business processes and data, strong problem solving skills.

You are deeply interested in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Experience in discrete manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and/or warehousing is a plus .

 Experience with the Azure stack is considered an asset (AzureML, Azure Databricks)

You have an excellent level of English. Dutch language skills are considered as a strong asset.
